We are always keen to have new folks and ideas on board and we can incorporate random acts of bikey-ness during the month of June. You could come with an idea and stay to see it to fruition! You could set up a table at our festival. Or you could help us honour our committment to be car-free this year, and haul a trailer for us to one of our events.
Volunteer positions we need filled include: helping mix the mix for Mockails on the Bridge, set up for the ride-in outdoor movie, putting up posters and stapling little Bikeology handlebar leaflets to bikes around town. We also need a ton of volunteers to help with Bikeology Festival on June 28. Those jobs include set up and tear down and in-between we need people to help the children’s entertainer, to help with the pedal-powered smoothy machine, to greet media and bring them to an organizer, to chat with people and keep the bike repair line organized, media-savy people and people with organizational skills.
Options for further events include a World Naked Bike Day ride, a parking meter party, a midnight bike ride, a rousing game of bike polo, something you already have planned and want to include in our bikey calendar… opportunity abounds…
