Repair-a-Thon by Edmonton Bicycle Commuters’

Saturday, June 13, noon until Sunday, June 14th noon. At Bikeworks 10047-80th Ave ***Back alley entrance only****

Free!!

Mechanics will be on hand for 24 hours to teach you how to fix and maintain your bicycle. Bikeworks is a non-profit bike shop that specializes in teaching people to be self-reliant cyclists. You can learn about bike mechanics even if you know nothing about tools. Usually there’s a shop fee, but for the Repair-a-thon the Edmonton Bicycle Commuters are waving that fee! There may be some wee charge if you need some of our salvaged bike parts.

    Hello,
We thought the idea of a ride-in movie was a cool idea, and that we would attend as a family, and ride in with our friends.
Fortunately we reviewed the June 15th movie offering “Monkey Warfare” and found it entirely unsuitable for either us or our children so we will not be attending.
We are very unhappy to find that the city of Edmonton would fund such an event, which has such very limited appeal and appears to promote or condone drug use. We think this is counter to the message the city wishes to send out.

You’re right about ‘Monkey Warfare’. It’s not for kids. I’m very glad you linked to it and found out beforehand. I apologize for not having ratings on the Metro Cinema movies. We defiantly will do that for next year.

Just so you know, the ride in movie is and always will be a family event. The movie we’re playing on June 27 for the Ride-In Outdoor movie is “E.T.”
